Golf course

I love this golf course! 18-holes of well kept greens and the challenge keeps on coming with long par 5 on hole 6, a deceptive par 3 on hole 7 with hazards behind the green and landscape sure to please walkers. The 9-hole is also fun but comes with its own challenges. Looks straight forward but be aware of rolling hills and tree lines. Beautiful cottages set off the course and if you want to seek accommodations they have cottages to rent or a transient campsite to bring your own trailers into the park. The course is manicured regularly and the staff are all friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend every level of golfer to play and walk/ride the course!

It's a very simple 9 hole course, mostly par 3's.+ Cheap green fees, relaxed atmosphere, not busy, greens are ok, play and pay by trust when staff not around- poor quality tees and fairways, no sand traps

Was here for a wedding tonight for one of my best friends. Beautiful facility. Food was good. (Pecan crusted chicken had WAY too much pecans on them) but otherwise everything was delicious. The bar staff were super attentive and fast at taking your order/refilling drinks. I want to personally shout out to one of the bartenders working tonight that gave me a private storage room to breastfeed my daughter in before we left for our hour drive home after the wedding!

Played on a beautiful sunny day with a small breeze. I very much enjoyed the course. I got to use most of my clubs. Many holes to pull out my driver. I see others complained about deer droppings, but was not an issue. Having the deer around made it feel so peaceful. Fairways were not perfect, but still in great shape. Greens were in good shape and slightly on the fast side. Fairways often lined with tall grass that swallows your ball. Nice challenge for the typical golfer.One minor issue is the practice green could use a couple more holes so multiple people aren't forced to putt to the same hole.I would not hesitate to play here again.

Cranberry’s pro shop and back shop staff are extremely unfriendly and arrogant for working at a public course.After not being met with any attentiveness from the back-shop staff, we had to go out of our way to ask for range balls after being passed by multiple staff. Once I asked, I had a snarky response from the starter saying that’s back-shops job not mine. Further more, going to the range I was reprimanded and denied service for not wearing the “correct” golf apparel for the range, I changed and returned to the range to see multiple people not in the “correct” apparel.The unfriendliness, unprofessionalism and double standards are unacceptable. Pro shop staff ESPECIALLY, you are in the service industry… wake up.Myself and my family will not be returning.

Played here a month ago and the fairways were not great, but since they got new reels for their fairway mower( I hear they got a steal of a deal) looks much better!

Good golf course. Staff and owners very accommodating. 4 sets of tees to suit all handicaps. The rough is very thick so keep it on the short stuff. Very nice sand in traps and lots of traps. The most impressive part of Ainsdale is the greens. They are huge and very undulating. Imperative to keep the ball below the hole but they do run true from one to the next. I was part of a 100 man tournament and the dining room/kitchen staff had us all through the buffet line in approximately 15 minutes. The food was very good and plentiful. Definitely a return visit in the future.

My husband and I had our wedding at the Royal Ashburn Golf club on Saturday, June 24, 2023. We could not have chosen a better venue for our wedding! We had to postpone our wedding two times, and each time the Royal Ashburn Golf Club was accommodating. Once our wedding day finally came, it was absolutely perfect.Special thanks to our coordinator, Sowmya, who made sure every detail was taken care of. Sowmya was a pleasure to deal with, answered all of my questions quickly and provided her suggestions. On our wedding day, we were dealing with thunderstorm warnings, and Sowmya made sure to monitor the weather and keep us updated on the plan. She helped take so much stress of off us on our big day, and we really appreciated it. The weather cooperated, and we ended up being able to have our ceremony outside in the Woodland Garden, which was breathtakingly beautiful. The grounds where we took our photos were also stunning!The second part of our wedding was held in the Compton room, which was a beautiful room for our reception! The meals were fantastic and the staff were wonderful. The main courses we selected (bocconcini chicken and prime rib) were just delicious. We got so many comments from our guests about how good the food was.Thank you to Sowmya and the staff at the Royal Ashburn Golf Club for making our wedding day so special! I would highly recommend the Royal Ashburn Golf Club for a perfect wedding day.
